Poker Hand Analysis

In order to play winning poker with a big edge over the opponents, the right thing to do is to analyze the opponent's action during each betting round and find leaks or most common mistakes when playing poker. There are hand tools with more visual version that offers general rules of poker and shows the different poker hands.

Most players have to start small and build their way up. A poker player must concentrate and take note important details to keep track of every game.  When a player visually examine hands individually endeavor not to be too results orientated. It does not mean that when player lost a hand, does not mean he played it badly. A poker player do not endeavor to fit a better line to all hands with the benefit of hindsight, some can just be unlucky hands. A poker player strategy should be remain focused, both on losing and winning hands.

A player must find resources to learn solid poker strategy to become consistently winning player. These resources can help a player to get used to situations that occur at the poker table. The best thing to do is go back to previous tournaments and analyze the game down to the smallest detail.

Poker Education

Making the right decisions in playing poker can be really hard for the majority of poker players in the poker table. I, myself had a bad beat experience because of wrong decisions I made and that was the time I started reading articles, watching videos, and participating in forum discussion to become better. I found out that Education is very important to make the right decisions in every situation. Having an education is a big advantage to win at poker tables because it help me build poker knowledge which leads to earning more and more money.

In fact, I learn a lot from joining on poker forums where I post my questions about my hand histories. I’ve met many people with the same interests and I received great feedback from them. I always find time to review hand and analyze a situation where I can be forced to take a risk to win especially when my own money involved.

Watching videos help me find key things to know the right plays. It is a learning process specifically if I am unsure of the action to do in a situation. It help me understand the whole game.

Another good source of information is by reading articles that could help me solve a certain problem. Continuous studying and exploring the game will build foundation of skill at poker. Having an education about the game is ultimately the key to win more money.

Poker is Just a Game

Poker is not like what you see on television

Poker is a game. Remember not to take it too seriously. You must respect your opponents. Do something else and do not play poker if you are bored, mad, and frustrated. Taking a bad mood to the table puts you at an even higher risk.

Do not expect things to be the way they are on TV. Be realistic and avoid daydreaming that you are going to be a millionaire. It is important to prepare yourself before playing and write a checklist of the things to do. You have to monitor your game, if you are playing win and making progress.

Professional players are good in handling their emotions and they know how to hide their intentions. They are good actors for it is hard to know what they are thinking or what can be their next move.

Poker can be extremely addictive. You have to limit yourself. You should know when to stop. You must keep yourself under control when playing poker. It is a struggle between you and Poker. You have to follow the right path and stay away from dangers and temptations.

It should be, You over Poker and not Poker over You.

Poker Tilt

All serious poker players can experience the worse in poker play due to emotions. The main reason of tilt is when a player failed to win the game. It is when a player feels upset and most of time they tend to bring their negative emotions in the poker table then it leads losing the game because of lack of attention to the game, they prefer to focus on negative thoughts.

Stress can also be avoidable if only a player will learn to drop his ego and wholeheartedly accept failure. It is impossible to prevent stressful situations but it is possible to manage minds to take control of stress before sitting at the tables. Some poker players have interest in other forms of game. For example, they play golf as their way of relaxing that can help them reduce stress.

Once a player learns to manage stress, this can lead to win the game. It could give a positive effect at the table. A player must avoid emotions to dictate his play and a stress-management activities should be part of the poker player’s routine. A poker player should use his brain and not his heart to play the game.

Spot the Opponents Weakness

How to spot or how to know your opponents weakness?
First, be attentive and observant to your opponents gestures because they will find a way to fool you. So before they do that, you must spot their weakness before they put you down.

Second, concentrate to the table and be mindful of how opponents respond to different flops so that will have an idea of their gambling patterns. Because every player has its own unique style to play.

As a poker player, you must have the right amount of aggression and you must put yourself in the right position as the aggressor. Balance the level of aggression to make sure that they will not see even a bit of weakness in your game.

Do a research on some ways in which you can spot weakness of your opponent and how to exploit it. You can see many websites where talking about tips and strategies to play poker.

How I wish I could be like him!  I want to compete with the top-class poker players in the world.

I don’t believe that only men have the right to play poker because female poker players have already proved that they are also good in the game and can compete against the best poker-playing men.

Women are known for being organized and keen to details. To get resources, you must conduct a research on website for women poker players that offer tons of fabulous resources.

To women, cheers! ;)

The Big Game (repost)

While I'm looking for online sites where I can play poker, I saw this poker poem. I just want to share this to you... I like the last part. Take your time to read this amazing poem.

The waiting starts, the players seat.
Don't play first hand in case of a bad beat.
Introductions don't seem to last,
as Blinds are posted and cards begin to blast.
You sit and wait for cards to play,
Some high return set to make the day.
Your dealt a pair and play them slow.
Your dealt a set and think here we go!
Minimum raise, so as not to scare the rest.
Your re-raised now, is their hand really the best
The turn it comes, and so you see,
the board pairs off, your mind is screaming out with glee.
You check your turn to see whom bets.
Flat calling with two others, you feel set.
The rivers low, the tide is out.
You feel the hand is yours no doubt.
You go all-in and get a call.
You feel confident you'll win it all.
Your hand you show, with instant glee,
A full house for all to see.
You pull in the chips, looking all forelorn,
For the other player is wishing he wasn't born.
They lost their chips, it could have easily been you,
a hand-shake given, and look so blue.
On and on the game it plays,
each hand a recipe for disaster.
But feeling good your chips get staked.
The tournement is now on at last!

Online Poker Game is Legal or Illegal

Have you seen the news on TV That Iowa will legalize and regulate online poker? I agree to that, you know why? It’s because the taxes from online poker business will help increase the revenue. And I don't see anything wrong about that. It will also benefit us, poker players.

Like me, I spend most of the time playing poker online. This is my way to relax and I do enjoy the thrill of the game. And the best part is, I could meet new people to become my friends. Really cool huh?
Anyway, if the government disagree to pass the bill, that can't stop me playing poker online. In fact, I will encourage my family and friends and all the poker players to support this bill.

Badugi Poker

I have been a poker player for more than a year now and I have really enjoyed playing poker, particularly Badugi (Badoogie). Badugi consists of 4 betting rounds total begining with only four cards dealt face down to each player just as in 5 Card Draw. I started playing poker when I was 21 with my bestfriend, we started making good money that's why we get hooked into the game.

More and more sites offer online poker tables to poker enthusiasts. People have many reasons for playing poker. But in my case, I love poker because I love the feel of a casino. I am huge poker night buff.

I love the game because it helps my mind stay sharp. And I want to share it with anyone!

Beginner's Luck

My boyfriend gave me a ring, a gift for our anniversary. I called it my lucky charm. I always wear it wherever I go because it makes me feel safe and secure.

One day, my colleagues invited me to go with them to the Casino because they want to play poker. They are addicted to this game and they talk about it every day even while working. So I've decided to give it a go.

Anna, my closest friend in the office, loves to play Poker but she never wins. She told me to try it because she believes in "Beginner's luck". I was convinced and hell yeah! she's right! I won! That was great!

Now, I know why they love Poker so much. Because it takes a lot of strategy, a lot of focus, a strong brainpower, and a lucky charm.
